__Aikido is a non-competitive Japanese Martial Art. It is also known as the "Way of Harmony" and can be practiced by anyone irrespective of age, size or gender. It will aid in development of fitness, confidence and good character in a fun, disciplined yet safe and healthy way.
The club started in 1987 and is the longest running Aikido club in Shrewsbury.
The club is a member of the Shin-Gi-Tai-Aikido Society under the guidance of 'Soke' Gwynne Jones (9th Dan) and is registered with the British Aikido Board (B.A.B.), the governing body of Aikido in the UK.
